Today we had a 9am flight out of Guilin, arriving in Hong Kong @ 11am, after which we would spend the day relaxing... or so we thought. We got up at 6am and arrived at the airport @ 8am, only to find out that our flight was rescheduled.. to 8am. We went to the counter to find out when the next flight was, and were told that it would not be until 10pm. So, after throwing a few ideas around, we decided to take the 11:40am flight from Guilin to Guangzhou. From there, we would hop on the train, which would take us directly to Hong Kong. The flight went smoothly, but when we landed, we were told that it was a 45 min drive to the train station. So, we hopped on the bus. When we got off, we inquired about the train to Hong Kong, but were told that we were at the wrong train station. Our best bet was to hop on the Metro and take it to the correct station. Everything went pretty smoothly after that, and thirteen hours after we started we arrived at Bridget's front door around 7pm. Luckily, Bernard's parents were waiting with dinner ready, as we had not eaten since breakfast and were starving! After another excellent meal, we hit the hay. That leaves only one day in Hong Kong, so we have to make it count!
