Day 4 in Chengdu
Today is our last day in Chengdu. We went to the Jinsha museum early in the morning because Bernard's parents had to catch a 2pm flight. The Jinsha museum is dedicated to the Jinsha tribe which is very similar to the Sanxingdui tribe we visited a few days ago. They have similar artwork and artifacts even though they existed about 500years apart.
After the museum we ate some lunch (seems like we're always eating!) and then Bernard's parents caught a taxi to the airport.
Our next stop was the Wu Hou Shrine commemorating Zhuge Liang, a famous military strategist in Chinese history.
We walked around the Shrine for about an hour or so, and on the way out we stopped at an antique marketplace to look around. Finally, we decided to catch a cab back to the hotel. We are now relaxing for a bit before our 6pm checkout. Our flight to Guilin doesn't depart until 10pm, so we plan to walk around the city for a bit and get some good Sichuan food before heading to the airport. Guilin is supposed to be beautiful, so we are very excited about our next stop!
