Day 4 - A new State!

Today was another long driving day. We woke pretty early at Manchester S.P., broke camp, and hit the road by 8.We found an Irish beach...

Hard to believe, but we found another Starbucks in Fort Bragg. We got some coffee and ate breakfast in their parking lot and brushed our teeth in their bathrooms. Hahaha
After that we just started driving North and didn’t make very many stops b/c we knew we had a long way to go today.

We did, however, stop at the famous “Drive-Thru Tree”!! We were also going to look for the infamous Pygmy “Farm” a.k.a Pygmy Forest (you had to be there joke) but we were already 10 miles down the road before we realized we missed it.
Not much else interesting along the way, but we did cross the border into Oregon (Yaaaaay!). We are staying at Humbug State Park tonight and it is a great little park! We’re only about an eighth of a mile from the beach and it’s a beautiful, rugged looking beach. There is some surf potential here too and we will check it out tomorrow (Mon) morning. Just too stormy right now. Humbug mountain is part of the park and there are a lot of hiking trails around too.
It’s in the mid-50’s already and sprinkling rain every now and then. The park ranger said we should be ok but that it did rain 3 inches in the past 72 hours. Hopefully, it’ll be ok!
