(Here's where we ate)
So we continued our journey north. After crossing the Golden Gate, the drive finally got interesting. It was pretty slow-going because we stopped to take a few scenic pictures and the road was really winding.
We probably averaged about 20mph for much of the way. A lot of the stops were just to check out the surf which was probably at least 15-20’ on the faces but stormy. The pictures don’t do them justice.
After about 4 hours of driving we realized that we probably wouldn’t make our original destination – Sinkyone State Park. We checked the map and found Manchester State Park, which was only another hour and a half away.
When we reached Manchester S.P it was already 6:30p and getting dark. We set up camp quickly, ate some dinner and were asleep by 9. It was pretty chilly during the night though – around mid-50’s.
