We left on a good day because the typhoon seemed to finally be hitting the southern tip of Taiwan. The morning was pretty uneventful, as we packed up, ate breakfast at the hotel and headed for the train station. The drive actually only ended up taking about 1.5 hours and there was no traffic. The train left right on time at 10:55 and we enjoyed a cozy 90 minute ride back to Taipei.

After departing the train, we caught a cab with Mireille back to the flat, while Bridget and Harold went home to take care of a few things. Bernard's parents were waiting with some dumplings for lunch. After eating, we pretty much just chilled. Am was having some tummy issues which we suspect may have been caused by inadvertent consumption of dairy products, so a nap and a shower were in order.
We ate a fabulous dinner in, compliments of Bernard's mom, and then caught up about the rest of our time in Hengchun and made a plan for tomorrow. We are going to head into Taipei city to do a little shopping, then we will meet Bridget and Harold for a nice lunch out. We are hoping the weather holds up, but it's not looking good so far.
Tomorrow is our final day in Taiwan and we head back to LAX on the 11:50pm flight.
