| Can't get closer to the beach than this! |

The cafe happened to be right next to the Forster Life Saving/Surf Club and while we were eating all the "nippers" were getting ready for something exciting. The weather was sunny and very warm for 8:30am so it was perfect for an alfresco meal.

After we finished eating, we headed to the lake to rent kayaks and some fishing gear. They only had tandems available, which ended up being just fine. We paddled around for a bit, then decided to dock it at one of the lake's small islands and chill for a bit. The lake was beautiful and filled with heaps of fish. We spent a couple hours on the island fishing and caught quite a few fish, though they were pretty small. Mainly it was nice just to relax and spend the day on the lake (and not have to drive anywhere!)

We returned the kayak around 4:30pm, went back to our hotel and showered before heading to dinner. We learned our lesson from last night and headed to dinner early, before everything closed! We decided on a "Chinese" restaurant, which overlooked the lake, and the food was tasty. Afterward, we decided to head back to the gelato place for one last treat :-)
We walked around for a bit before heading back to our hotel, as it was a beautiful evening.
Forster is definitely one of our favorite stops in NSW and we wish we had a couple more days to spend here. We would certainly come back!
Tomorrow make the short drive to Newcastle.. hopefully we love it as much as Forster!
